Communication Engineering, established in 1997, is a provincial-level characteristic advantageous major. It includes the first-level master program of Information and Communication Engineering and is also the first master's degree authorization point in the field of communication in Hebei Province. In 2014, it became the first major in Hebei Province to pass the China Engineering Education Accreditation, which indicates that the training quality of this major has realized the international substantial equivalence and entered the "first camp" of global engineering education. In 2019, it was approved the first batch of national first-class undergraduate major construction point, and major construction entered a new platform.
